Logging

Our web server logs visits to the website. Information saved includes your IP address, browser, operating system, and the pages viewed. Together with our host, we use these logs to diagnose problems and mitigate attacks. These logs may be retained indefinitely for analysis of historical traffic.

We may use Google Analytics to see how many visitors come to the website, the approximate location of visitors, how much time they spend on the website, and other aggregate data.

Cookies

We use cookies to help improve your browsing experience on this site. For example: account management functionality requires the use of session cookies; and the script that loads the fonts on the page places a cookie in your browser that tells whether the font is already cached in your browser.

Google Analytics may also place cookies in your browser. These cookies are used by Google as described in their privacy policy.

Third-Parties

We use a number of third-party services and APIs to help with the proper functioning of this website. Email, anti-spam, content delivery, and firewalls may be provided by third-parties.

The following third-parties may process information you share through our website under their terms and privacy policies, for example:

We also may link to or embed content from third-party websites.

We have no control over the privacy practices of these other sites.

Subscribing to updates

By using one of our get-in-touch or event sign up forms, you will be providing us with information such as your name and email address and you may choose to provide us with other personally identifying information. This information is kept private and not shared publicly unless you consent, and will be used to get in touch or reply to you as might be needed for the management of our digital spaces.

By using one of our get-in-touch or event sign up forms, you will be added to related mailing lists such as our general subscriber list through which we provide updates on our work, and event-specific list segments through which we provide updates about events. You may opt out of receiving such messages by contacting us, by replying to any of those emails, or by unsubscribing.

Our community

At this time, our digital community is open to people who opt to access it through our website, e.g. in response to a personal invitation or when attending an event that is held in the community. If you are one of these users accessing our community, you may voluntarily share additional personal information within the community. Other community members will be able to see the information you share and they will be able to contact you through the community. We cannot control how others may use that information and we ask you to contact us with any concerns.

We often record live events that are held in our digital community and we often share recordings and replays in the community and short clips on social media. In that case, video of you or parts of the chat transcript to which you have contributed might be shared along with your screen name. We take your participation in those events to be your consent for doing this.

If you wish to be removed from the community, please contact us.

Sharing

Your personal information will not be shared with others except as described above and in cases as required by law.

Requesting erasure of your personal data

You have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal information and accounts from our website and community. Please contact us to initiate this process.

Minors

Our services are not meant for anyone under the age of 18 (”Minors”). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from Minors. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from Minors without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our website or community.

Spam

This domain does not accept unsolicited email messages (also known as spam) from personal, commercial, political or non-profit entities. Legitimate, individually-sent employment, business and personal inquiries are not considered spam. If you are sending spam to this website, we reserve the right to deny you service and to report you to the appropriate authorities.

We reserve the right to make changes to this privacy policy and any other privacy policy that extends this one. Should we make changes to this policy, the date at the bottom of this page will be updated.
